Whales, Dolphins, Seals, Oh My!

"Bet you don't know what next week is," said Mitch.

"Of course I know, silly, it's our 10th Anniversary," laughed Sarah.

Mitch winked at her. "I think a 10th Anniversary deserves something special, don't you?"

"And what would that be?"

"You will just have to wait and see, won't you?"

"Oh, go on and get to work, no fair hinting and then not telling. I'll see you tonight."

Mitch bent down and gave her a kiss, then left.

Sarah racked her brain all week wondering what the surprise was, but still didn't have a clue. The day had finally come, and they were going to a fancy restaurant to celebrate. "Are you about ready," Mitch called up the stairs.

"Yes, I'll be right down," said Sarah, slipping a gift into her purse."

The waiter brought them a bottle of champagne and they moved outside to the deck after eating. Sarah gave Mitch his gift.

Mitch pulled her to him and kissed her. "Thanks, Hon, I really needed a new one, it's perfect! This is for you." He handed her an envelope.

"What's this?" she asked.

"You won't know until you open it," he smiled.

Slitting open the envelope, Sarah looked up in surprise. "OMG, Mitch, are you kidding me? Is this for real? I can't believe it."

She rose from her chair and threw her arms around him. "Honey, it's what I've always wanted, to go on a whale watch. Oh Babe, I love it!"

"I thought you would like it. We can't go until June 6, that's when the blue whales are at Dana Point{/}. I've already booked a hotel and Captain Dave's ship."

"No, for real! You do know Captain Dave's ship has an eye to eye underwater viewing pod don't you?"

"I do, I've done my research Hon."
