Poetic portrait of my grandfather at 100
Grandfather
eats fish head soup
and while straining noodles
through two front teeth
weaves
furry tales
for the children
who dance around him.
crowning him with leaves of laughter.

Filled and drained he sleeps.
Dreaming of kingdoms
he had always hoped to conquer.
