This is my first Poetry Palace Assignment. I normally stay away from rhyming poetry.
You Amazed Me

One was amazed
At the wonder of your touch
Your gentleness…your wit…
The tenderness you show
I love you oh so much!

“My passion is gone.
There’s nothing left.” I said.

One was not amazed
By the lightness of my heart
As I hear your voice…
See your smile…feel you
Against me ~ part for part.

“My passion is gone.
There’s nothing left.” I said.

Yet one was surprised
That I woke up at last
Due to your patience…
Your touch…your love
My uncaring days are past.
