The best science fiction -- in a country setting!
Mythos and Mason came to Earth to recover the sphere that was stolen from their planet. The Zircons had it hidden in a vacant farmhouse. The two heroes took the guise of horses and looked on from a nearby pasture.

“Mythos, we should storm in and take them by surprise. We are much stronger than them in these horse bodies.”

“No, Mason. With the power of the sphere, they are capable of disintegrating us with just one wave of a hand. We need to wait until the right moment”.

As soon as Mythos finished his words, the Zircons came out of the house, and walked around the back to a large pick-up truck. The heroes listened to their conversation.

“Let's drive on this road to the main highway. That will bring us to the area where the zeclodium field is”. They got into the truck and went on their way.

Mason could no longer contain his excitement. “If they get zeclodium, they will be able to make many more spheres”!

Mythos answered in a confident voice. “They can only make copies if they have an original. Now is our chance. Let’s go in and get it”.

The two trotted over to the entrance of the house. They changed into the form of humans before they entered. When they got inside, they stood for a moment in awe at their surroundings. The quaint little farmhouse was nicely decorated with quilts, lace, and many country accents. There is nothing like that on their planet, where decorations consist mainly of steel and chrome. Their sphere was centered on a teak wood table.

"There it is, Mason. Let’s get it and get out of here”. Mason picked up the precious sphere. The two took one last look around, and then transported to their ship. Their quest was over.

This is my sparkling Blue Fairy Snow Globe.
