A scenario of love.
In the mist rising, the sun is slowly coming up. The trees are wrapped in a haze of shaded gold and the dew upon the grass glistens like crystal shreds. The slight chill of winter has crept into the room, making me reluctant to leave the warmth of the bed and you. I raise slightly on my elbow and with a tentative finger trace the lines of your beloved face, now composed in sleep. I feel my heart twist in pain for I know you must leave me again.

How well you loved me in the night! You and I tasted the sweetness of long-supressed love and need. I was lost to the ecstasy of your touch, to the music your fingers played upon my body as each stroke lifted the melody to a soaring crescendo until the final bars were lost in the drifting fall of a complete finale. Breathless, I lay in your arms, pressed next to you, clinging for the love I so needed and desired. I was safe in the strength of your arms, sheltered in the absolute perfection of your love, and connected to you by heart and soul as surely as we had been connected in the most timeless ritual of life just moments before.

You stir lightly under my touch and open your amazing blue eyes to stare at me. They smile as the sweet loving smile crosses your face. You pull me closer and your hands begin to caress me once again as my body awakens to your touch and my heart sings to your love. I turn with you as we once again become one.

As the tide in the distant sea rises and the wind in the trees whispers, I cry out in joy in the ultimate surrender of complete love. I push back the thought of the inevitable leaving but hold to the moment, to the now, as I implant it in my memory to sustain me through the lonely nights until you come back to me once again and we will have another moment to relish the wondrous gift of the love that has knitted our souls, our hearts, and our lives together for as long as we both breath and beyond that into the countless sunrises of Eternity!
