Spring is peeking around the corner
SOFT SPRING

Soft Spring that doesn't know
         when winter's gone,
Or maybe hopes to wake again
         before her time.
But still she comes
         and smiles;
I know because of inner hope refreshed.

I feel a warmth
         - soft, silly smiles within my head.
Snow blankets gone and heavy lay no more.
         Winter knows it's end.
If I should die in spring,
         no harm to lie
         in greening pastures,
there to sleep
         -forever.
