[18+] is one of my oldest folders to date and contains some poetry I composed during the first three years of high school. After reading this, you'll see I'm nowhere near the same poet these days. [18+] contains poetry composed during my senior year of high school. I used to like it, but for many reasons it has become more difficult to reread over the years. Still, it is an important part of my life and explores some of the moral/ethical conflicts I faced at a too-young age. As for its pretty purple ribbon, many thanks go to kittiara for it. [18+] stores all my poetry composed during early adulthood (college years). These poems tend to be extremely personal in scope and therefore tend to be rather abstract. It's probably the most varied of the collections, a reflection of the rapid rate at which my thoughts formed, melted and reshaped themselves. [18+] was created to house the poetry written after taking a creative writing class that made me re-examine free form poetry and how to integrate imagery in poetry. I don't consider myself a major fan of imagery in poetry, but when I do use it, I measure it with great care to make it potent, not flowery or tedious. Though just beginning, this folder has already shown a more mature and intellectual approach to poetry. So before entering this folder, make sure you're up for a mental workout, as I seek to touch the mind before the heart with these works.
