Pfc. Lori Ann Piestewa
Words of Honor for Pfc. Lori Ann Piestewa

American Indian woman you gave us pride,
With your comrades you stood by their side.
Now your voice is gentle upon the wind,
And all of Indian Country quietly weeps within.
For you were a loving, tender and gentle kind,
Whose giving was caring and fine.
Pfc. Lori Ann Piestewa, your are a sensation,
A sincere representative of the Hopi Nation.

American Indian Woman of your life you gave,
For a people's freedom you believed to save.
You became a solider in a war of time,
A proud image of an ancestral line,
For you are a pillar of honor and dignity,
And symbolize a uniuqe form of humanity.
Pfc. Lori Ann Piestewa, your are a sensation,
A sincere representative of the Hopi Nation.

American Indian Woman you knew not of your fate,
That awaited your comrades, friend and roommate,
You went forth with a smile upon your face,
To fight for liberation in a foreign place.
You gave Indian Country a reason to understand,
That we must always protect our sovereign lands.
Pfc. Lori Ann Piestewa, your are a sensation,
A sincere representative of the Hopi Nation.

American Indian Woman of the 507th Maintenance Company,
In the heart of your friend Pfc. Jessica Lynch you will always be.
Your comrades and friends now know a calm serenity,
As your hearts, souls and minds reach divine tranquility.
You gave us a reason to understand why,
In Indian Country we never say goodbye.
Pfc. Lori Ann Piestewa, your are a sensation,
A sincere representative of the Hopi Nation.

American Indian Woman our hearts go out to you,
For you fought and died under the red, white and blue.
To your children and family you gave a loving devotion,
Your relatives and tribe remember your sincere notions.
Your legacy will remain within your community,
Indian Country will honor you for infinity.
Pfc. Lori Ann Piestewa, your are a sensation,
A sincere representative of the Hopi Nation,
An American Hero to all the Sovereign Nations.
You will always be...and never forgotten.
