Announcement: These past few weeks I have not been able to do a newsletter because of serious illness in my family. (My 81 yr. old mother/congestive heart failure/diabetes/and seizures.} Things got so very stressed and hectic that we all thought she was going to die. Hospice is now involved and I have additional help/support that God has raised up! My mother is improving slowly, and my nerves of steel…lol are on the mend. The Lord has truly been here to give comfort and encouragement! I hope to do another newsletter soon, and send some formatting to Grammapenny so she can do a newsletter regarding teachings God has placed upon her heart to share. Thank you all for your prayers and support Cat About this Newsletter & Bible Study. We are here to serve God, and serve our Community of Believers. Each of us desires to be instruments of God’s handiwork. We each have something that God has put on our hearts to teach, and preach the Good News of The Gospel. Always…lifting Him up. Expect from Him to meet your needs. With His anointing, we pray the Holy Spirit has His way in our lives. He has placed this in my heart to say, that here in this newsletter, there will be no watering down of the Word, or teaching a social gospel. I care nothing for political correctness. I care about scriptural correctness! Letter from the Editor First of all I want to preface this story with a thank you to Bobby, an author here in Writing.com who sent this wonderful story to me in an email. I really hope that you look at what this story is saying and really think about what happened… as I have. JESUS AND THE MUD PUDDLE A great story.......... ! Howard County Sheriff Jerry Marr got a disturbing call one Saturday afternoon a few months ago. His 6year old grandson Mikey had been hit by a car while fishing in Greentown with his dad. The father and son were near a bridge by the Kokomo Reservoir when a woman lost control of her car, slid off the bridge and hit Mikey at a rate of about 50 mph. Sheriff Marr had seen the results of accidents like this and feared the worst. When he got to Saint Joseph Hospital, he rushed through the emergency room to find Mikey conscious and in fairly good spirits. "Mikey, what happened?" Sheriff Marr asked. Mikey replied, "Well, Papaw, I was fishin' with Dad, and some lady runned me over, I flew into a mud puddle, and broke my fishin' pole and I didn't get to catch no fish!" As it turned out, the impact propelled Mikey about 500 feet, over a few trees and an embankment and in the middle of a mud puddle. His only injuries were to his right femur bone which had broken in two places. Mikey had surgery to place pins in his leg. Otherwise the boy is fine. Since all the boy could talk about was that his fishing pole was broken, the Sheriff went out to Wal?mart and bought him a new one while he was in surgery so he could have it when he came out. The next day the Sheriff sat with Mikey to keep him company in the hospital. Mikey was enjoying his new fishing pole and talked about when he could go fishing again as he cast into the trash can. When they were alone, Mikey, just as matter of fact, said, "Papaw, did you know Jesus is real?" Well," the Sheriff replied, a little startled. "Yes, Jesus is real to all who believe in him and love him in their hearts." "No," said Mikey. "I mean Jesus is REALLY real." "What do you mean?" asked the Sheriff. "I know he's real 'cause I saw him." said Mikey, still casting into the trash can. "You did?" said the Sheriff. "Yep," said Mikey. "When that lady runned me over and broke my fishing pole, Jesus caught me in his arms and laid me down in the mud puddle." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For those who are Skeptics regarding Jesus or this very real miracle, I have added “my two cents of reason” regarding what should have happened, but did not. When I read this story first thing this morning, there was a catch in my throat as I visualized this six year old sailing through the air from a bridge, after being hit by a car going 50 miles an hour. Horror as I looked at my own live in “Mikey” son of my friend, Sherrie Thomas. We have all seen the commercials of what happens inside a car, with dummies taking the place of real people without seat belts on, as the vehicle impacts another vehicle at thirty miles an hour. This child did not have the benefit of any protection from a vehicle taking any of the brunt of impact when hit. By natural laws of force, this child should have been killed instantly. He was standing still when hit. Then to be hurled 500 feet from a very high bridge over trees to land in a mud puddle, would be the equivalent of falling from a four to five story building. Think about the odds of surviving that fall. His injuries were two broken places in his femur. Remarkable! This injury probably happened when the car hit him with such force of velocity, not when he landed in the mud puddle. By natural laws, Mikey should have died when he impacted with the ground. A mud puddle is not enough protection to deflect the incredible blow to his small frame as he landed. Think about this! Years ago, in my place of employment (Vocational Rehabilitation) I received the intake report on a nineteen year old college student from Embry Riddle Aeronautical Institute in Daytona Beach, Florida, who was severely injured from a motor cycle accident. He was coming home to his dorm on back roads from a party, riding a motor cycle at fifty miles an hour, about midnight. A drunk driver coming from the opposite side of the road hit him, and sent this young man flying 15 feet through the air to land on the ground, with his back taking the bulk of the impact. Not 500 feet, 15 feet. The fall broke his neck and back, as well as his legs, and one of his arms. He was not a small child of six with a much frailer bone structure. Even though the weight of his body mass added to impaction and the extent of his injuries, as I said it was only 15 ft., not 500 ft of being hurled through space and picking up velocity on the downward arc as he descended, to land in a mud puddle. The laws of gravity do not change, every bone in his body should have been broken and most likely this child would be dead, as I stated earlier. Yet he survived and basically remained intact. The last part of the story riveted me. I believe this child was caught by Jesus and placed in the mud puddle. He did not fall into the mud puddle. The story did not mention anything about his body making any tremendous indent into the soft mud, which had Mikey fallen into this mud puddle, from the sheer distance and velocity of thrust, he would have made quite an impression. Many non believers would like to blow this story off, give some scientific reasoning’s as to why Mikey did not die, call this story a beautiful fabrication or some other nonsense to explain away this miracle. Why? Because a skeptic does not want to believe in miracles or in Jesus Christ, to do so would mean that every excuse, the very foundation a skeptic’s life has been built upon, has been a house of lies to crumble because the structural walls have fallen down to truth. The Corner Stone, Jesus Christ, which many have stumbled against and crashed. A child stating the simple truth and reality of Jesus snatching him from death, and visually have seen. To the skeptic I say, should you find yourself hurling through 500 ft. of air, with no one to catch you,… remember… you rejected Him! Who will catch you when you fall? There are countless true inspirational stories out there in this community, as well as some of my own true stories from working in the field of Rehabilitation for the State of Florida, where God has directly intervened in someone‘s life and saved them from death. I have purposely chosen not to look for something already written by a Writing.com author regarding miracles or true stories. Why? Because the next edition of the UnOfficial Christian Newsletter is going to be dedicated to you here in Writing.com, who has a testimony of a true story of God’s intervention in your life or a friend’s/family member, which you the author have directly witnessed! In a world that truly would like to believe in something beyond their selves, there is nothing like hearing/reading about an event or events that truly did happen to someone they knew here in Writing.com...Folks we have an opportunity to reach out to this community with the love of Christ and witness the truth of His reality, by telling others what He has done in our own life. The cause and reason of our devotion and faith born in the reality of His presence and ever faithful love and mercy! I am requesting each of you to write a story for this newsletter, and caption your email with the attached link headed with “A miracle story” in the RE: section of your email. I want to know about these miracles in your life! I want to know how you became born again? Your testimony of His reality in your life! I want to know. Why? Because it ministers to me as well as others, the uniqueness of each of our situations that ultimately led to Jesus! The paw prints of Jesus being in your everyday life. Your miracle situations where He delivered you. I want it ALL! Write it up!!! Tell me, tell others! Tell the world! Some who have not met Him yet, may meet Him because of your story. You have Christian friends who have a story to tell? Have them write it up and send it to me here in Writing.com I want a flood of stories to publish here on this site! If we cannot get it all in one newsletter, then I will do two newsletters or three or five newsletters, back to back with these wonderful stories that honor and lift up our Lord, Jesus Christ! In a world that has been at War with the Powers of Darkness stepping up end time events, all of us need these stories to build up our faith, and edify one another, especially in a time of spiritual darkness slamming us collectively and individually with uncompromising evil on a daily basis. We are that end time generation! We are those voices crying out in the darkness to those who do not know Jesus, to hear the good news of the Gospel in Real Time! Our time, our reality based upon not only His Word, but His real relationship with each of us, as individuals with real problems, heartaches, illness, and other events that have challenged us as Christians to rise above, overcome, grow, and be changed by the very hand of Love, God!!
