The Colors Of Christ
As I look outside I see the most beautifully colored site in the sky.

What is it?

It is a Rainbow, of course.

As I see this I am flooded with memories of all the stories I have been told.

Stories of Leprechauns, magical creatures, and pots of gold on the other side of the Rainbow.

But today's rainbow is very special because it makes me think of God and the colors of Christ.

The Colors of Christ are very special because the represent everything He stands for and our spiritual growth.

The Colors of Christ are:

Black represents Sin and serves as a reminderof what separates us from God and dooms us to eternal darkness.

Red represents Christ's blood that was shed for all of God's children.

White represents Peace and the cleansing that occurs once you turn your life to God.

Blue represents our spiritual baptism.

Green represents growth in your faith.

Gold represents Eternal Life with Jesus in Heaven.

So as I look at this rainbow I am reminded of Christ's death and resurrection.

And I think how very grateful I am that God loved us so much that He sacrificed his only son for our sins.
