The Nile Crocodiles are ferocious beasts, but they are very grand.
Writer's Cramp:New prompt: This poetry week we're doing things a little bit different. You may choose out of two forms, instead of one. You may write a poem for each of these forms as well; but only one can win

1. Write a triolet about a red rose
2. Write a triplet about the nile-crocodile

I chose the triplet which repeats the rhyme in each of three lines.

Nile Crocodiles

The crocodiles live in the warm wet tides.
Their lizard-like shapes have scaly, leather hides,
And they swim downriver or sun on the sides.

They float in the Nile like two old, dead logs,
But they’re heading for that patch of clawed frogs.
Though I know they'd prefer tasty warthogs.

Their tails are moving, flopping to and fro
As they glide on by looking very slow.
Then they see the frogs, and off they go!

Two lazy crocodiles crawl up on land
Doing a push-up so that they can stand.
Sure, they’re fierce, but they’re also very grand!
