depression and the struggle
Floods of words,
Streams of lines,
What once flowed smooth,
Is torrential this time.

My thoughts I'm hiding,
I'm trying to grasp,
A million voices, but,
So quickly they pass.

Hello, am I in there?
Is any part of me home?
I'll leave this remnant here.
I'll leave this piece of home.

I'm crumbling and falling,
Letting go of crying,
And denying a part of me,
But, there's just too much dying.

To let loose a tear,
Is to give way the dam,
I have to hold on,
To the doors that I can.

The windows are barred,
And painted out black,
Once I shut down,
It's so hard to go back.

Reality is too true,
Too painful and too real,
How can you still expect me,
And ask me to feel.
