All grown up now...
All grown up now, yet sometimes you wear memories of my little girl.

Yesterdays' Christmases

C urled up on the couch as you are,

H ouse slippers of puppy dog mouths,

R eminds me of the past when

I read you Christmas tales, and we hung

S tockings on the mantel for Santa.

T hose memories poke me with nostalgia.

M y eyes moisten in sad goodbyes for then,

A nd yet, like those slippers, they make me

S mile.
