Inspired by "Newbie Writing" HAVEN FOR NEW MEMBERS
I have a dream!

How about I write it and YOU fix it.

Thats right. I meant just exactly what I wrote. I will just write what I feel, what I mean, what I want to say, and you, whoever YOU are, will fix all spelling, puncutation, grammar, point of view, slant, tone, form and pacing.

Now, that's a DREAM!

It is certainly hard enough to type fast enough to keep up with the voices and all the thoughts in my head (mine and theirs). I am not always sure if the voices are the same as the thoughts as arguements develop and tend to grow in volume and intensity. Each voice seems to have a personality of it's very own. Some are shy. Some are not. All is not always well in paradise.

While my family consider me more than just a little crazy; I consider myself gifted. Blessed with the company of many voices that long to be heard. Personally I feel some of the characters really have something to say and need to be heard. Some are hysterically funny and entertaining. Some are political actitvist. But not a damn one of them can spell worth a hoot, and they all think I am a world class typist.

There is a major problem with this writing venture. While my spirit is willing to entertain what is required it appears that my mind is not
cooperating one little bit. It appears that while the ability to create exists within my mind; the ability to remember chore like data: spelling, puncutation, grammar, and formating are just simply gone. It is like all data has just been erased.

I could easily contribute this to a physical problem; aging. As I have aged, evidently so have the voices in my head. So either we get more stupid (inability to remember anything) as we get older, or one of us has eaten to much beef and developed human form of Mad Cow Diease. That analogy sounds just about right to all of us actually. None of us want to believe that laziness has any thing to do with it.

I have been doing doing a lot reading on Writing.com and I really want to commend all of the writers here that strive for excellence in their writing. I have none such lofty goals.

I just dream for an AGENT that will get me an editor that will spend whatever time it takes fixing all the mistakes to make my work readable and marketable.

Yep! That is my dream. I will write it, and somebody else will fix it. I will make millions. Be loved by all.

Why NOT? I can DREAM, can't I?

I spent all these years amassing all this misery and experience, and somebody expects me to also learn and remember all the puncutation, grammar, and spelling to be able to properly impart it to a paying audience. What do they expect? A robot.

Not to mention proper submission formating.

I much prefer my DREAM.

To further justify my DREAM, an EDITOR should really WORK to earn whatever percentage by editing my work, that is the simple answer to my DREAM.

Of course the Agent will do what Agent's do, Editor's do what Editor's do, and Writer's do what Writer's do. There is a 100 percent of the pie. How many ways can a pie be divided?

Good thing all the voices in my head don't get a real share.
