About the Items

"Science vs. Religion [13+]:
Science and religion may seem like polar opposites—and they are—but like yin and yang, they can and should exist in harmony, as they each share a common goal. This was originally written as the editorial for the March 16, 2005, edition of the Spiritual Newsletter.

"The Morality of Suicide [13+]:
The 13th-century Christian theologian Thomas Aquinas claimed that suicide is an unnatural and immoral act, viewing it as a sin against God, society, and the self, and this belief has continued to be held by many to this day, particularly the religious. This essay responds to Aquinas’s arguments, which, in my opinion, are quite lacking.
