A short poem about sadness
Sorrow

Anguish rages
Like charcoal skies of violent April afternoons
With no dreams to soothe.

The only comfort,
baptismal salty drops that usher in tranquility.
Not on the arm of emotional peace -
at the cost of the body’s exhaustion.

Sorrow may be inevitable – but also is its passing.
