Wrote this song about a person I'm getting to know still...
Watch you hug your guitar
Getting lost in the strings
Strings that sing your music
Exuding wonderful things

You seem risky to me
Risks of what’s not known
Would be walking an edge
Allowing truth out for show

So come lay down with me
Lets stay up all night
My fingers in your hair
‘Till my window peaks light

Warn me of empty pockets
That don’t matter, you see
You’re rich in greater ways
So come lay down with me

How hair falls in your eyes
I get to push it away
Glances brief but intense
Draw me to linger then stay

You don’t know these things
As it’s best not to speak
When and if I did, words
Just messy and weak

So come lay down with me
Lets stay up all night
My fingers in your hair
‘Till my window peaks light

Warn me of empty pockets
That don’t matter, you see
You’re rich in greater ways
So come lay down with me
