More than a dream. Less than reality.
I will go to sleep now.
And dream again of you.
Your image plagues my mind.
Embraces felt, too few.

I’ve reached out to touch you.
As you have done before.
Though we will never be,
My dreams you will explore.

I walk through your door now,
Your body gently stirs.
You guide me next to you,
Before my mind's a blur.

You’ve worked many hours.
As I have done as well.
Together we find sleep.
Encased in this, our shell.

Alas, again I’ll wake.
And you will not be there.
My heart will be intact,
For dreams are all we share.
