This poem describes the fleeting nature of time.
On Time

O time, please do stop
Thou are relentless in thy pursuit
Even like the hunter hunting his prey
None escape thee.

O time, thou makest no difference
Between high and low and consume them all alike.
You come very slowly one second at a time
Yet in no time the babe is the old man

O time, please have mercy on me, while I am Making merry, old age is waiting to pounce on me.

I was but a child sucking on my mother's breast
Now I am a youth with no one to trust
The past seems like an evaporating dream.

Once places where there were many celebrations
Now look like ghostly haunts.

O ever devouring time, great is thy delusion
People even after knowing about the Inevitable death acumulate wealth as if to stay Here forever.

O time, contemplating on thee
Hath given me wisdom which makes me free
Which is that in this ever transient world
Only good thoughts and good actions
Remain in this ever evaporating dream.
