Review the poem, let me know how I can improve & earn gift points
I sit sullen; With brooding eyes, out of the window I stare
I see dust, I smell dust, I sense dryness in the air.

Abruptly, my world shudders - the bus has started its run
With a loud rev and spewed soot, my journey back home has begun.
Through mindless lanes and milling crowds, as the bus finds its way,
I dread the journey back home after a hard and weary day.

I sit sullen; With brooding eyes, out of the window I stare
Dried up plants greet me and so do trees gone bare!

The earth is parched and the roads are dry,
Birds thirst for water and for it the animals cry!
I long for livening green, but what i find is dulling brown,
Agony crams my temples, and all I do is frown.

I sit sullen; With brooding eyes, out of the window I stare
Only drought I find everywhere; my heart fills with despair

In what seems for hours the journey goes on,
there is no respite in my trip, glum and forlorn,
And then out of nowhere, on the glass pane lands a bead of water
Slowly, it begins to rain, pitter-patter pitter-patter

I am overjoyed at the sight outside, everything to me seems new
With brown giving way to green, the world takes on a brilliant hue

With open arms, earth gladly receives the long expected guest
On her wide and expansive lap, she lets the raindrops rest
I see children in puddles, slush and play and make merry
With not a soul to care for them, no worries they seem to carry

I am overjoyed at the sight outside, everything to me seems new
Things that bring so much joy to the heart are only a few

The world is reborn it seems to me and I thank God for the rains
For rain is that which gives us life and eases all our pains
With heat a thing of the past and cool breeze grazing my face
I relish the change and joyfully sing the great Raingod's praise

I am overjoyed at the sight outside, everything to me seems new
My journey back will not be the same, now that we have got our due!
