In a land beset by sorcery, a band of Druids are forced into battle by the Queen of Blades
In the times before Arasti The Peacekeeper, a dark shadow crept across the united lands of Tharamond. That shadow was Shekara, Queen of Blades. She was a dark sorceress intent upon smothering the world in her foul embrace. She brought a knowledge that the people of Tharamond would soon learn to both fear and rely upon. That knowledge was Magick. From the dark halls of the Black Citadel, Shekara unleashed a blight of evil upon the innocent people and laid siege to the light-filled united lands. In there darkest hour, the people of Taramond prayed for protection and deliverance from the terrible powers of Shekara, but it appeared that the gods of old had turned a deaf ear to their cries. It seemed that the terrible sorceress would not be stopped and that the once peaceful lands of Tharamond would fall before her burning wrath. Shekara enlisted the powers of the five greatest wizards to fight for her. They came from all corners of the world only to be bent to her will. They were Windrider, Elven Queen of the Western Oceans, Darksaber, Lord of the Southern Mountains, Lifestealer, Lich-King of the Great Desert, The Astral Rider, Duke of the Undead Lands of Milaki, and Stormweaver, Warlass of the Plains. With their added powers, Shekara seemed unable to be defeated. When it appeared that all hope was lost the great Druids of the North, keepers of nature and life, began a their own war against the powers of the Black Citadel. That war was recorded by a young Druid veteran named Ashe. The writings of Ashe were lost after the great war. These writings are all that survived. I open the Book of Ashe.
