The differences in my life from then and now.

Then And Now

Before I lived alone as a lost little boy.
I lived in dreams and cast out the world.
Now I feel as a man and my life I enjoy.
Now in reality I treasure life like a pearl.

Many years I just wanted to be alone.
I soon realized I was wasting my life.
Now I love each day that comes along.
Before I married my understanding wife.

Before I was frightened to face the day.
I held much hate and dislikes of others.
Now I am ready to face come what may.
Now I consider them a sister or brother.

I failed to realize life is just a moment.
Lived at the time of a fleeting second.
I'm ending this life I've always known.
For a life of reality I've been beckoned.
