On the subject of daydreaming. Mini-SLAM entry.
You know,
she had me thinking...

thinking
these are not
my words
and this is not
my head.

And chances are,
she's right...

Rewind,
2:47 p.m.

My desk, my assignment.
Office window, desert sky.
Car exhaust, then horn.
Distant voice, then plane.
Distant ringing.
Distant cough. (cough, cough...)
Then, quiet.

quiet nothing,
quiet peace,
quiet nothing,
nothing, nothing...

No records.
No data.
Just lost.

Lost, she reminded me...

and I'd never even know it
if I found this place again.
