The wonder felt from childhood dreams,
sparkle like diamonds in the sky.
Each treasured memory, like favorite toys,
brightened an old ones eyes.

Adrift on the summer breeze,
laughter sang a childish song,
of the sweet joys and harmonies
and of a past that's been long gone.

As a child your future lay ahead,
the world was yours to explore,
but in the blink of your ancient eyes
your life, it was...no more.
