Dangerous Beauty


Morning dawned on
frost covered fields.
Clouds low and white
send bitter winds ahead.

Soft flurry of snow
falls gently, hope builds.

Alas, the promise is broken.

Ice crystals fall
molding themselves
to every surface
coating all with
glittering glaze.

Nature's cold blood,
dangerous beauty.
