On Bleeker Street I should find him.......

On Bleeker Street
potentially, I may find him,
dressed in 1960's garb,
making statements,
cowered by muddy shadows
under dirty rain; frozen with time.

Potentially on that New York Street
he’ll remain throughout the night,
waiting, wakening
to the 90's school of thought.

Potentially, his presence
could be all he’ll ever own,
lit beneath the neon strand,
showered by a grimey mist,
fixed forever in Dylan's spot.

That long, lanky, folkie lad -
I think I’ll see him there tomorrow.
