Caught a glimpse of my friend in an unenviable position. U can draw your own conclusions.
I saw my friend through the glass window

Her arms were folded; her head hung low

I called her name, but she slept just the same

I thought someone needed to wake her

I wished I could go in and shake her

I called her phone; I heard it ringing

But she was incapable of hearing it singing

I watched for a moment, and as her greeting came on

I told her I'd talk to her later on

I walked away slowly, hoping she was okay

And I got the feeling my friend needed help today

I wondered, if it was me, what would she say?

It was hard to just leave her - I wanted to stay

My very best friend needs some help today.
