My first attempt at poetry; written many years ago, it is darker than I usually write.
There is a certain joy in living,

In knowing there will be sorrows and joys

to be celebrated and mourned.

Tell me not what to expect from living

For then life will be different;

I will know what is on the horizon for me,

And I shall not care to experience it.
