These are two poems I wrote that compliment each other so I put them together.
Wasteland

I look to the sky
as the birds cry
and the fear rushes into me
so leave me alone
to die on my own
watching the stars crash in the sea
echoes of angels
cry the anger of the angels
silently refusing to return
await the ending
the angels are sinning
and I am calling for them to come home
pulling you under
god as your savior
empty your sins into me
tearing you apart
the sins of your heart
hide them before the angels see
acknowledge your maker
and say your prayers
because you’re going to need them
the evil in me
broken trinity
wasteland that was once a kingdom

Evil in the Dark

Made in the likeness of my creator
but god is just as empty as me
why did you make me in love with you
crying as I pull you away from your trinity
God, he lays me down to sleep
but he doesn’t leave my bed
and I promise him the secrets I keep
as I silence the voices in my head
Your wrath is as bitter as your affection
as I join in the destruction and madness
your love is as empty as my soul
I’m intoxicated with pain and sadness
I suffer your acts and desecration
as I beg for you to look at me
You make the sky cloud and thunder
and you make me fall to my knees
Forgive me my maker, I begged you
and yet I still suffer
you leave me alone with the night
and my fear grows as it gets darker
You left me and I fall into darkness
I justify my cause and demand the truth
the battle is fought with lies and deceit
you against the shadowless brute
The burning increases and devours me
as my beliefs are reduced to shingles
We swim in darkness as he completes me
as you would pleasure your angels
I fall to the feet of a new master
as a new passion takes over me
I savor his sinful blood
as the dark god impowers me
You throw me into the fire for my sins
and I laugh as my body burns
My soul, like my skin, dissolves in the flames
and I love the lesson I’ve learned
You look at me with greed in your eyes
and I save your blame for my master
you praise the work of the flames
and I pray that they only work faster
I embrace the burning into my darkness
and await my master’s release
I hate and destroy your creation
as my master tells me what to believe
You wait until it’s my time to return
and I approach you not as my lord
I’ll show you my power and you’ll see
I’m not afraid of the dark anymore
