For James Anthony Mireles.

A fire glows into the night
Your arms encircle me; hold me tight
The warmth of the fire melts away my fears
And I know that you would never leave me here (alone).
I feel you, here, when you aren't around
And I realize, I know, I'm far from lonely now.
A broken past, torn to shreds.
You steal and keep, all that I've said.
Take me in your strength; hold me close.
You ask me to tell you but I really don't know.
Your presence, lingers here, when you're not around,
And I realize, I know, I'm far from lonely now.

I love you.
