a poem about sharing Love
Encroached by total darkness,
I’m lost,
Alone,
Afraid.
I hold a candle in my hand,
But no light does it bring.

When from a distance one appears
With Light to offer me.
My candle now is burning bright;
My heart is light and free.

But when I look around me,
There are others in the dark,
So I offer them my candle’s Light
To brighten up their hearts.

Now they, in turn, go out and give
Their Light to more and more.
As I begin to look around,
This Fire fills the world.

So as this Fire is made known,
It becomes a better place,
For all who know this Light of Love
Will surely not know hate.
