It's about a dad who can't visit his child who misses him. Kinda sad...
Do you know?
How much
I love you
Your little blue beads
For eyes
Were wet
And your brown yarn hair
Draped around your shoulders
Like the doll you got
For Christmas
And your small hands
Shaking
The last time…I…
I kept them
Every last crayon scribbled note
Every last rainbow
Bunny, dog, cat,
Smiley face sunshine
Pasted on the wall beside my bed
Rereading each one
Everyday
Several times
Wanting to see you
Wanting to write back
But…
I couldn't write
Can you forgive me?
Do you understand?
I haven't forgotten you
I promise
I remember
