This is where all my older poems will go.
"Shattered"
7/05

A thousand and one tears fall,
In the wake of her dreams demise.
Her hopes only long ago memories,
Once again she slips on her disguise.
It’s the one thing that’s her security,
As she picks up the pieces that where her heart.
Forging it in steal.
Never again will it be torn apart.
The pain runs so deep.
A gaping wound that openly bleeds.
There is no magical pill.
Pain doesn’t just recede.
Nothing matters now.
She realizes love is just a silly myth.
Something that’s always searched for,
But doesn’t really exist.

"Forever"
7/05

He said he would love her forever,
But I guess forever didn’t take to long,
Because before she knew it,
He had taken his heart and gone.
She still misses him,
More than anything in this world,
She longs to be with him,
To once again be his girl.
She replays the memories,
As she bravely holds her head up high,
Never does she want him,
Ever again see her cry.
Safely behind the walls she built,
Her heart turned to ice,
A broken heart she can handle once,
But she’ll be damned if it happens twice.
Silently she curses herself,
As she swips away at her tears.
Waiting for the pain to end,
While hiding behind her fears.
If she pretends long enough,
Will her heart cease to feel?
Forever it will take her heart to mend,
Never will it heal.

"Uncertainty"
7/05

You’re gone,
Left me here to stand alone.
I no long know just where I belong.
The uncertainty of life I must now face singly.
Fear grips my soul at knowing what no longer belongs to me.
Hoping this is just a nightmare that I shale awake from,
Only to realize this is now my reality.
The beliefs that you once instilled no longer set me free,
They have become the binding chains of insanity.
A future now so desolate,
This world once shined radiantly.
Only darkness has survived in the wake of the dream,
As I found the true meaning behind my destiny.
Understanding this situation I just cannot.
How can someone go from loving some one?
And then in a blink of an eye it seems they forgot.
Can one argument come between a bond so strong?
Was the bond one sided all along?
So was that the catalyst of our demise?
Was our love filled with nothing but lies?

"Opalescent Vails"
10/9/05

Through the opalescent vails,
Things are not as they seem.
These eyes see emptiness,
As blood flows from them in streams.

These are the tears that have remained hidden,
From the prying eyes of those that don't understand.
They stain the skin as proof they exist,
The truth it grabs like a steel band.

What is within,
Threatens to consume.
Fear flowing freely,
It becomes a concrete tomb.
