After I read the Hunger Games, I was disappointed because, at the time, there was no talk of a movie coming out for it. I was thrilled to discover a very similar themed Japanese movie!

The behavior of the Japanese society has become out of control...Especially the young generation. As a reminder, each year the government chooses one class of high school students to participate in the Battle Royal Survival Project.

In this game, the students are placed on an island, where they are forced to kill each other. They are given a backpack with a random weapon, and then they are on their own to kill or be killed.

Friend battles friend, as they strive to reach their goal of being the last one left alive. The pressure is on, because if there isn't a winner by the end of the game, the metal collars they wear will blow their heads off.

This movie is spoken in Japanese, but subtitled in English. I normally don't watch subtitled movies, but this one is very easy to follow. After a few moments, I didn't even notice that I had been reading the whole time.

Adults who loved reading the Hunger Games, and those would like to see a very similar movie. This one was out long before the Hunger Games was ever written.
Keep in mind, there is a lot of violence in this movie.
