Roberts hit the ground running here, providing more drama, as well as broader and deeper character definition for both Dana and Jordan, and adding a lot of fun scenes for the rest of the cast.

Rules set in the first book seemed to be broken here, and characters didn't seem to be able to recognize simple patterns of behavior that seemed a little obvious to me, as a reader.

Again, I felt intrigued enough to want to read on to the final part of the trilogy.
