Summary of this DVD...
This was a suspense movie that was in a group of other movies of Marilyn Monroe's that I watched. This was totally different as she is portrayed as a villain and a murderer in this one.

A woman is staying with her husband at Niagara Falls in a cabin. Another couple (newlyweds) shows up on their honeymoon and they interact. The woman is Rose (Monroe) and her husband is George. It soon becomes clear that Rose is planning to murder George and run away with her lover. She engineers things so that the lover is to do the deed, but there is a shocking twist and Rose becomes the hunted and things turn on their side as George does not die so easily.

To add to the twist and turns in the plot, George is a neurotic mess, who is paranoid and much older than his wife, Rose. He has good reason to be paranoid, but he has to share it all with the neighbors, which makes him kind of a potentially easy target until you realize that George is more nuts than Rose is.

But, Rose's plight being married to George is a nightmare on steroids. Yikes!

Very creepy!
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone who wants to see Marilyn Monroe play suspense and drama. She is not her usual bubbly self here as she plays the dark, scheming Rose.
I especially liked...
Jean Peters with Marilyn Monroe. I liked their scenes together.
I didn't like...
Joseph Cotton, but I couldn't see how Marilyn's Rose ended up with him in the first place. He is so neurotic that I sympathized with her wanting to be free of him, but divorce seemed to be the wiser option in this case.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
watch more old movies because I hate politics and the news. I refuse to watch it right now.
This DVD made me feel...
like I was there at Niagara Falls. The scenery is breathtaking and the cinematography is excellent for the early 1950s. Monroe is luminous and surprisingly convincing as a villain.
The cast of this DVD...
is really down to Peters and Monroe. They carry the movie. Joseph Cotton overacts.
I recommend this DVD because...
if you like old movies and enjoy Marilyn Monroe, this one puts her in a totally different type of plot situation. She is quite good and scary. I wish she had done more drama and suspense!
