Summary of this Book...
Eden, Incorporated is a highly successful dating service that brings in former FBI forensic psychologist, Christopher Lash, to investigate the double suicide of one of Eden's 'perfect match' couples. After reviewing the impressive amounts of information the company accumulated about the individuals, Lash cannot find any behaviours that would have prompted the suicides. Then another 'perfect match' couple is found dead by suicide and there are more that could be at risk if an answer isn't found.
This type of Book is good for...
This is a thriller/suspense which would also appeal to anyone with computer technology interests but wouldn't hinder a reader if they weren't.
I especially liked...
The story is well-paced and interesting. Not only is Christopher Lash working to solve the corporations puzzle but someone is also messing with his life.
I didn't like...
It's a little predictable but easy to read. I didn't care for the epilogue. It could have been left off entirely and not affected the book. I thought it detracted more than added to the story.
This Book made me feel...
This was an engaging story with lot's of computer tech. It may be a little simple and easy for a thriller but a good book just the same. Not everything needs to be so hard-core and this book was a good way to escape and relax.
The author of this Book...
The author is Lincoln Child who is also known for his books he has written with Douglas Preston such as Relic and the Special Agent Pendergast series.
I recommend this Book because...
This is a thriller that is fast-paced enough to keep you turning the page but an easy enough read to sit back and enjoy.
Further Comments...
I've enjoyed the writing collaboration of the Preston/Child team and have read most (if not all) of their books. I have also enjoyed the novels that they have written solo and this book falls snugly into a comfortable suspense/thriller category. It isn't over the top with graphic gore and moves the story along at a good pace.
