Emma has been banned from seeing her best friend, Tracy, since they were both involved in a car accident that put Tracy in the hospital. Emma has tried to see Tracy every week she was in the hospital but not allowed by her controlling older brother, Will.
When Tracy is released, Emma follows her back to their home town determined to face her friend again.

This is a delightful, romance novel published by Harlequin Heartwarming. It is an intelligent story of trauma and healing in a small town. The characters are rich and complex and draw you into the story.

All the character in the story were very fully formed and represented. The interaction between each one was very real and believable. They guided the progress of the story in such a way that made you want to find out what would happen next.

This was a very warm, endearing book. The struggles that each character had externally and internally were very true to life.

The author of this book is Melinda Curtis. I found her while reading a blog here on this site by {userid:airlieduo} Dave Gordon. He mentioned on a post that Melinda is his sister-in-law and I was curious. I'm glad I checked out her site.

This is a very warm, modern-day, romance with interesting characters. The small town setting is filled with older adults that are rich in depth and keep story moving and interesting at every turn.

I was happy I found this author by reading another writer's recommendation here on this site (Dave Gordon). I will be checking out more of this romance novels by Melinda Curtis.
