Set in the same universe as Mistborn and Stormlight Archive - but in a thus-far new world.
Sixth of the Dusk (more commonly known as Dusk) is a trapper on the deadly island of Patji. Surrounded by predators that can sense minds, plants with telepathic abilities and frankly every living thing out to kill you for food and/or fun, Dusk meets Vathi a seemingly simple clerk.

Who just so happens to have technology for those Above.

This ebook is listed as a novella - that's probably being generous. It is VERY short (and asks a dozen more questions than it answers).

But definitely worth a read.
