Summary of this Book...
In an alternative version of the not so distant future, humanity has become dependent on humanoid type robots for everything from work and security to teaching and companionship.

Alex Castle is one of the richest men in England and a major robotic developer. When his brother and his wife are tragically killed by a malfunctioning robot manufactured by his competitors, Alex takes their daughter Audrey in to his care - but for Audrey, there is something suspicious about her parent's death and she is determined to get to the bottom of things.

Daniel is a robot - an "echo" - working for her uncle Alex. At first, Audrey is afraid of him but she soon learns that he is on her side - and that he may be able to help her solve the mystery......if her Uncle Alex doesn't stop them first.......
This type of Book is good for...
People who like future fiction and stories about how our world might become one day.
I especially liked...
The description of England and how life has become, with all the advances in technology, in 2115. I also really like the idea behind the story, the fact it is set in a World where robots are the norm.
I didn't like...
The writing style to an extent - the book is really "Young Adult" fiction so perhaps that is why I did not feel it was very gripping in places. I also didn't really feel particularly attached to any of the characters.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Get a robot
The author of this Book...
Has written several other novels. I have also read "Humans" by the same author which is about an alien who come to Earth to stop us solving a complex maths problem!
I recommend this Book because...
It is easy to read and an imaginative story.
