Summary of this DVD...
This is a Stephen King story put to film.

This horror classic tells the tale of a teenage girl, named Carrie White, going through the rigors of adolescence and trying to fit in. At school she endures ridicule as well as at home from her mother.

All Carrie wants to do is fit in and be a normal teen. Her peers’ lives center on their sexual and romantic exploits.

She is at her happiest when she is asked to the prom. At first, she is very nervous and shy. When she is named the Prom Queen she feels that she has been finally accepted, only to have the ultimate ridicule of having blood dumped on her.

Her kinetic powers come to full power with her first menstruation. Carrie high school will never be the same at the hands of this misused young lady.
I especially liked...
This movie was originally classified as a Horror movie. By today's standard it would probably be classified as a drama.

What I liked was that it was, like most of King's work, a thriller/scary. I enjoy psychological suspense type horror stories over movies that are blood and gore.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
I wanted to find the next Stephen King movie that I could.
This DVD made me feel...
Chilled. I was still in my mid 20s when this came out and could still relate to Carrie's high School days.
The cast of this DVD...
Sissy Spacek was brilliant in the role of Carrie. Looking back, I did not realize that John Travolta was in the movie.
I recommend this DVD because...
This movie is not only a classic, but the cinematography was superb, the acting excellent, and it's a Stephen King story!
