Summary of this Book...
As a child, Thad Beaumont has a brain tumor removed, but it's not just any brain tumor. It's the remnants of his 'twin' bother that his brain absorbed during utero. Now, years later while Thad is a prospering writer using his own name, and writing some his best work under the name George Stark (who is also the main character in these books), somebody finds out who the real George Stark is, and Thad decides to kill off his pen name by literally 'burying him'. But now that twin has come back using Thad's nom de plume and wanting Thad to write more books about him. But Thad doesn't want anything to do with George anymore. But George is determined to have his way, with possibly deadly consequences.
I especially liked...
The overall idea of this. Stephen King actually wrote a few books under 'Richard Bachman' until a certain nosy librarian uncovered who Richard really was. And in fact, there's a note at the beginning thanking Richard Bachman because 'this novel could not have been written without him.'
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
As a major fan of King, of course I wanted to go out buy his latest book!
The author of this Book...
Stephen King has the rare talent of making the unbelievable believable, and this book is no different.
I recommend this Book because...
If you love a great suspenseful and creepy tale about the supernatural, then this is a book you should read!
Further Comments...
I don't know how Stephen King does it, but his imagination seems to have no bounds. As I said before, he can take the unbelievable and make it believable, and I strongly encourage anyone who hasn't read him before to rush out and grab one of his books immediately!
