Summary of this DVD...
According to reviews at the time, the movie was a mess. I had seen it before but happened to rewatch it last night. I agreed that it was a mess the first time I saw it, and I still think so. It's sort of a botched modernization that still throws back to the origin and the old days of Hollywood. But it's sloppy at best.
I especially liked...
Jeff Bridges was looking good with long hair and a beard?
I didn't like...
Jessica Lang can't act to save her life. This was an embarrassing performance that would make any feminist cringe.

The special effects were decent for the time, but the constant changing of Kong's size were insanely noticeable.

There were plot holes and inconsistencies everywhere.
I don't recommend this DVD because...
It's a lame re-envisioning that just wasn't necessary. And despite the budget and campy good vibes, it was just not very well done.
