I love this director and he tackled some fantastical stuff with Pan's Labyrinth, Hell boy, and others. This takes on an old orphanage where there may or may not have been experiments done on the children within this place. Chaos ensues and speculation as well.

If you want to have dreams about creepy kids in scarecrow masks gasping and dragging their feet behind them.

That the horror/scariness is well done, it's kind of an ambiance thing and you know when you'll jump out of your seat but you can't stop it.

The scariness... I have vivid dreams and all that. But, it wasn't so scary I couldn't sleep, just well done and done with a deft hand.

Put on my nightlight, in a good way.

Jumpy, very anxious around anyone with a scarecrow mask. And that had breathing problems with said scarecrow mask and all.

Are well casted and everyone gets along. You don't have the common romantic interest tying the story together. Instead, it's about this mother and her son and them going to this creepy place and ... chaos ensues.

This is another well done, created, and crafted movie by this director.

Creepy kids in scarecrow masks breathing all funny and that stuck with me for a bit. And people coming back to life when you think they're dead.

This is a scary, suspenseful movie that does the fear just right. It's not terribly terrifying and it's not a gore movie. This is all about hauntings, spirits who aren't happy, and how they mess with your life.
