This is an excellent, highly engaging collection of nine short stories (though I think the book calls them novellas) by nine different authors about courageous women in the historic days of our country. Most were set in the mid to late 1800s. The stories are nicely varied. Unlike some collections where there are a mixed quality of stories, I found every story to be engaging and the fifth one in particular a great blessing to me.

People wanting engaging but clean historical romantic suspense featuring brave heroines. I think it'd particular appeal to Christians but some of the stories are very light on that aspect and unless the reader were really offended by Christian references, I think people of any faith would enjoy the stories.

Story five because of the ministering aspect the story had on my soul. This was the most faith-filled story. I also liked the length of the stories. They were just right for me to fit in one per evening in the time I have allotted between preparing for bed and going to bed.

Be braver and serve the Lord better.

A whole range of emotions while reading, but overall, just happy to have had the lovely experience of spending time with these amazing heroines.

Nine different authors, some of which I'm going to look up to see what else they've published.

They brightened my days and uplifted my soul.

I borrowed the paperback copy of this book from my library. I used the Kindle Amazon code because I didn't see one for the paperback version. The paperback version I read had lovely page feathering that made it feel more like an old-timey book and added to the historical reading experience.
