Summary of this Book...
The plot of this book is set in the time of World War II. This book follows the lives of its two main characters:

1) Marie-Laure was a blind, French girl whose father worked at the museum and was entrusted, later, with a jewel called 'The Sea of Flames'. The girl later goes off to live with her great uncle because of the war.

2) Werner Pfennig was a German soldier who was drafted early into the military from military school because of the shortage of soldiers.

The lives of the two intersect for a short period of time. There is a really fascinating story regarding the 'Sea of Flames', as well. The gem has an important place in the novel and the war, too.
This type of Book is good for...
People who like a good novel and are not maniacs about historical accuracy. Also, someone who likes a book that's...well a bit more serious than the usual ones.
I especially liked...
The different perspectives, obviously. My favorite book, "The Forty Rules of Love" does the same, so I'm really familiar and attracted to this kind of writing.
I didn't like...
Nothing, honestly. The book was, on the whole, very good.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Write something similar to it and be the author of a best-seller, lol. Don't all authors want that?
This Book made me feel...
Sad about the poor people who were involved for no reason in the entire mess, all on the whim of one man.
The author of this Book...
Is the author of a best-seller. That's all that I know of him.
I recommend this Book because...
It's a really good and different than usual read. And it'll teach you a few intrinsic lessons, too. Also, if you're a reader who pays attention to minor details, there's A LOT in stored for you.
I don't recommend this Book because...
It's a best-seller. That's no reason to recommend a book, in my opinion.
