Summary of this eBooks...
I am not so sure how much I enjoyed reading this story, but I give credit to the author for all the detailed cultural information.

Yet, if the author wanted to give information about the culture, he could have written a much larger and longer story with all that knowledge interspersed inside it. As it is, I found the descriptions-- as florid and clearly put as they are--to be too much information that overshadows the action. This is very true especially in the beginning of the story as they had little to nothing to do with the storyline and the action in it.

On the other hand, the wedding preparations were told nicely and in detail as this story is about a specific wedding and not someone’s portico or what a certain person’s house looks like.

Concerning the bride and groom, it seems this was an arranged marriage with the groom coming in from the United States if only for the reason that he doesn’t want to cross his family and traditions. He is also seeing for the first time, his pretty Indian wife-to-be probably just before the wedding.

What I liked most is the ending, which was a shock and totally unexpected.

All in all, I think this is a promising story that only needs tightening up.

This type of eBooks is good for...
seeing into another culture
I especially liked...
the surprise ending.
I didn't like...
the too many, detailed and florid descriptions
The author of this eBooks...
is Madan Achar.
Further Comments...
Read at your own risk. It is not too long, but all those descriptions became boring for me.
