This is a collection of nine short and sweet Christian historical romance novellas / short stories. Four of them are set in a quaint town called Hickory Corners. Three others are set on a ranch. So two are stand alone stories and the rest are part of one of the two series. Despite the series within the series theme, with nine different authors, there was a good amount of diversity in the stories. I liked some of the heroines more than others and some of the writers stood out more but overall it's an excellent read with uplifting faith elements throughout.

The first four stories had a quilting group and the rest all had some stitching element to their stories.

People looking for wholesome stories that warm the heart, Christian romance, historical romance, and short but sweet reads.

A lot of the heroines, the grandmother in the second series (on the ranch), and all of the heroes. The settings were well done. The variety of stories in these Barbour series are always a delight.

Diana was not a desirable character in the first three stories so I expected some big reason to suddenly like her as the heroine in the fourth story. I guess there were reasons but it wasn't enough to make me love her. I liked her though, and was glad when she made her love match. I liked her housekeeper more than I liked her though.

Buy another one of these Barbour Christian historical romance series novels.

In the ones where I loved the heroine, I felt like I lived her adventure with her. All the happy endings made me feel good. I think going to bed after finishing one of these stories makes for better dreams for me so I hope they keep publishing them.

With nine different authors, they all have different levels of experience. Tracey V. Bateman and Cathy Marie Hake were the highlighted names. I'd read stories by them both before. I also already knew that I liked a couple of the other authors. The rest were new to me.

It's a nice group of short, inspiring reads.

I bought my paperback copy of this book. It has traditional pages (some of these series books are a bit larger and have feathered, almost rough edges that make it seem more like an old-fashioned book. This one didn't have that.
