Helen Robbins has some delightful adventures that had me laughing out loud and reading excerpts to my mother.

Don't worry ladies, there's hope for us yet! If this mousy widow can find herself after years in a dreary marriage, we can too!

This book starts off slowly with drawn-out descriptions and observations.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series, Housewife Up.

Helen is a mostly relatable character. Even though there are times the plot is predictable, it's done in a way that lets me know I'm not the only housewife to have the same experience.

Overall, the hilarity and outrageousness outweighed the predictably boring parts of this book.
