Summary of this Audible Books & Originals...
I got this audiobook from Audible. It's rated 4.4 stars there, but the paperback is rated 4.7 on Amazon. It's 4 hours and 20 minutes or 256 pages. It's rated #62 in Children's Books on Death & Dying and #83 on Children's Books on Disabilities. It's rated for ages 10-12 or 5-6 grade.

This book is about 10-year-old Caitlin and her family. She has Asperger's. Her mother died when she was very young and her brother was always there for her, guiding her and helping her learn how to fit in--what to say, what not to do. But then he's killed in a school shooting. Her father is bereft with grief and Caitlin doesn't fully understand what is happening and why people are acting like they are. She's very black and white and has difficulty with the gray area of emotions, especially those surrounding her brother's death. In this book, she goes on a search for closure for herself and her father. Along the way, she struggles with typical Asperger things like reading facial expressions, making friends, and understanding idioms.

I especially liked...
I really liked the peek inside the mind of someone with Asperger's. I assume that, though everyone is different, this could be a typical child. One of the things I found interesting was that it was from her POV and when she was interacting with someone and they looked at her, she would say, "He looked at the person," meaning that he looked at her. I presume this is from years of her being told to "look at the person" when speaking. It was interesting.
When I finished n/a this Audible Books & Originals I wanted to...

The n/a of this Audible Books & Originals...
I hope she did a lot of research because this was an amazing opportunity to teach us. I feel like I learned a lot and she did a good job of showing me what it would be like to have Aspberger's.
